Year 4 had a great VE Day! They learned the Lindy Hop, created collages to show the celebrations, and explored the history behind VE Day. The children already had so many interesting facts to share about its importance and why it is celebrated. Super work today, Year 4!

Year 2 have had a great day celebrating and remember for the 80th anniversary of VE Day. The children have been really interested in learning about the war, asking some amazing questions and doing some research into that past, spitfires and evacuees. We created and designed our own medals and enjoyed learning the Lindy hop and hand jive dances.

Some of the Year 3/4 children went to the Kings yesteday for a football tournament. They played really well. Lots of goals were scored and there were some cracking saves. Well done St Thomas', you represented the school brilliantly.

We just wanted to share how much Year 3 truly enjoyed their Dojo prize on Froday. It was a well-earned reward for all their hard work, positive behaviour and brilliant effort over the past term

We had a great time in Science Club! We did the fizzy rainbow experiment, where we mixed vinegar and bicarbonate of soda to create a colourful reaction. Then we placed Skittles on a plate with warm water and watched as the beautiful colours formed a stunning pattern.

Year 2 have started their plants topic in science this week. We have been exploring different kinds of plants and trees and went outside to do some observational drawings of them. We labelled all the different parts we know such as roots, stem, leaf and flower and were talking to each other about the similarities and differences we could see. Well done Year 2!
