Reception

Welcome to Reception Class 2025!
A warm welcome to our class page, where you will find key information about our class and learning.
Welcome back after the Easter break. We have loved hearing about what the children have been up to and seeing the photos that have been shared with us. We can't wait to see how far the children move on in their learning in Summer term!
Reception is part of the Early Years Foundation Stage, and really does build the foundations for future learning. In Reception there will be a mix of whole class and small group activities, and child-initiated learning within the provision indoors and out. Some activities will be led by an adult and some will be self-chosen by the children. Whatever the activity, we hope to have lots of fun while developing the children's literacy, maths, creative skills, and understanding of the world around them.
The key to all of this is having a solid foundation in communication and language and in social and emotional skills.
If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to ask.
