                                    Computing curriculum lead: Miss Horwell

Our Computing curriculum is built around three core strands: Computer Science, Information Technology, and Digital Literacy. Together, these areas equip our pupils with the knowledge, skills, and confidence they need to thrive in an increasingly digital world.

Online safety is woven throughout our entire curriculum. From the earliest years onwards, children learn how to use technology responsibly, respectfully, and safely. This ongoing focus supports them in making thoughtful choices and becoming positive digital citizens.

We follow a spiral curriculum, meaning that key skills and concepts are revisited and built upon each year. As pupils move through the school, their understanding deepens, their abilities grow, and they become confident, capable, and resilient learners who can apply their learning in a range of real-world contexts.

Our aim is to inspire curiosity, encourage problem-solving, and nurture the next generation of creative thinkers in an ever-changing technological landscape.
