We are so excited to begin an exciting year of learning, exploring, and growing together in Year 2. This year, the children will be building on their skills, developing independence, and enjoying a wide range of fun and engaging topics.

On our class page, you’ll find updates, key information, and ways to support your child’s learning at home. We’re looking forward to working closely with you to make this a happy and successful year for your child.

School Day Timings:

Autumn 1 Class Timetable

Key Information for Year 2

Year 2 PE days will be Mondays and Fridays this half-term. Children should come to school wearing their PE kit on these days. Just a reminder, children should have long hair tied up, and should not be wearing jewellery for PE. 

Homework will be sent out on a Friday and will be due back the following Wednesday.

The children are also encouraged to continue playing Times Tables Rockstars at home 3 times a week as well as reading 3-5 times a week too. Reading records should be signed by an adult to indicate that their child has read at home. Thank you for your support with completing your child’s homework.
