Year 3

Hello and a big warm welcome to our Year 3 class page!

A very warm welcome to Year 3! We are so excited to begin a new school year with our children and to see them take their next big step in their learning journey.

Starting Year 3 marks an important transition from Key Stage 1 into Key Stage 2. This year brings new challenges, greater independence and lots of exciting opportunities to learn, explore and discover. Our Autumn Term is all about helping the children settle into their new routines, build confidence and embrace the step up in their learning.

Across the curriculum, the children will begin to develop their skills in greater depth, becoming more independent thinkers and learners. We will encourage them to ask questions, explain their ideas, take responsibility for their learning and challenge themselves when things feel tricky.

We know that moving into Year 3 can feel like a big change, so we will make sure that the children are supported every step of the way. Alongside our academic learning, we will focus on building positive relationships, developing resilience and creating a classroom where everyone feels safe, valued and ready to learn.
